Now that lawmakers have unveiled a plan to replace the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Small Business Majority Founder & CEO John Arensmeyer is available to discuss how this proposal might impact small businesses.

Repealing various aspects of the Affordable Care Act and scaling back provisions like tax credits and Medicaid expansion will do little more than create instability in the insurance market,” Arensmeyer said. “This instability will ultimately hurt small business owners by making insurance less affordable, which will make it more difficult for America’s small business community to access health coverage. Rather than repealing the ACA, lawmakers should recognize that it is working for small businesses and instead try to improve it. Small employers don’t want or need another healthcare overhaul; they need quality, affordable insurance for themselves and their employees so that they can focus on running their businesses.”
