Small Business Majority Launches Free Financial and Health Resource Workshop Series for Missouri Small Businesses

For Immediate Release:
Monday, August 14, 2017

Missouri small businesses looking to learn more about healthcare, finance and retirement plan options can attend virtual seminars, or in-person events in St. Louis and Springfield

Springfield—Small Business Majority is pleased to offer a new series of free educational workshops that will help small businesses in Missouri increase their knowledge of financial, health and retirement resources, which should in turn help them boost their bottom lines.

Presentations will cover topics such as how small businesses can optimize their credit score, how to spot predatory lenders and how to locate alternative sources of capital, as well as how small firms can implement simple workplace wellness programs and how to explore convenient retirement savings options. The goal of these workshops is to provide small businesses with education and tools to help them grow their business and provide robust employee benefits.

These seminars are taught by experts who can guide small businesses through valuable healthcare, finance and retirement resources. Many of the events, which are taking place throughout August, September, October and beyond, are webinars. Others are in-person seminars and workshops, available in both St. Louis and Springfield.

The next in-person event in Springfield is August 25. It will cover financial, health and retirement resources available to small businesses. Partners for this presentation are Justine PETERSEN, The Bank of Missouri, Edward Jones Advisors, AIDS Project of the Ozarks and SCORE of Southwest Missouri. Representatives of partnering organizations will be available for one-on-one meetings following the event. For more information, please visit: http://bit.ly/2vnH8Sm

“These workshops are a great way to help small businesses grow because we know that small business employees and employers who are financially fit and able to save for their futures will be happier, healthier and more confident, all things that can lead to greater productivity, a better work environment and a better bottom line for our local business owners,” said Small Business Majority Missouri Outreach Manager Mary Overbey, based in Springfield.
