Colorado Healthcare Expert and Small Business Owners Available to Give Small Business Perspective on Affordable Care Act Repeal

For Immediate Release:
Thursday, January 5, 2017

Colorado Outreach Manager for Small Business Majority, and Colorado small business owners available to speak to media about the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and how it has helped small firms and their employees.

Who: Small business and economic expert for Small Business Majority, is available to speak to media about the ways in which small employers have benefited from the Affordable Care Act.

“The Affordable Care Act has been of tremendous benefit to small business owners in Colorado. Thanks to the healthcare law’s cost-containment provisions, we’ve seen much smaller increases in small group market rates compared to pre-ACA, when double-digit increases were often the norm. What’s more, 28 percent of self-employed Americans were uninsured before the ACA—many because of pre-existing conditions. Now these entrepreneurs can obtain quality, affordable health coverage and focus more on running their businesses. Any lawmaker who would repeal the ACA is far more interested in scoring a political victory than in helping our nation’s job creators and their employees.”

When: Small Business Majority is available for interviews this week and next. Small business owners across the state are also available for interviews.

To Request An Interview: Contact Simon Brown, Media Relations Manager for Small Business Majority: (303) 223-6335 or [email protected].
