Economic and Community Development Institute

Economic and Community Development Institute (ECDI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit economic development organization headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, with satellite offices in Cleveland and Akron; and a field office in Toledo. ECDI's mission is to invest in people to create measurable and enduring social and economic change. As the largest U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) intermediary micro lender and U.S. Treasury designated Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) micro lender in the state of Ohio, ECDI addresses the needs of small business owners in the creation and expansion of their businesses. Since inception in 2004, ECDI has assisted over 8,500 individuals, disbursed over $33 million through over 1,600 loans, and created and retained over 5,900 jobs via our comprehensive suite of programs. Programs and services have been supported by over $55 million in federal, state, local and private funds and have proven to spur local economic development.
